Jazz On A Summers Day

I just watched this documentary about the 1985 Newport Jazz Festival. The film is hardly a documentary with little to no dialogue. The most words come from the frog voice anecdotes of Louis Armstrong and a hearty laugh. Mostly it shows lives performances from Thelonious Monk, Anita O'Day, Chuck Berry, Louis Armstrong and more. Not only does it include these amazing live shows but also documents the life, style and times of the late 1950's in Rhode Island. A spectacular film to watch or have on the background while doing work, cooking or entertaining guest. You can find it on Netflix streaming but it is also available here to watch the entirety of the film on your computer.
